The base body of the diffuser is not partly made of metal, as in the original, but completely made of plastic. Inside, high-quality mirrors are used and the top consists of a carefully, hand-cut glass screen.
The underside was made of transparent glass. The diffuser for the Fuji laboratory scanner SP3000 is original and new no longer available and unfortunately only rarely available on the market and often at overpriced prices. Diffusers from other Fuji laboratory scanners unfortunately do not fit into the SP3000. Without this diffuser, a scan in medium format is unfortunately not possible, regardless of the format (6x6, 6x7 or 6x9), because the light distribution of the standard diffuser (135) is not sufficient.
Our diffuser has been carefully manufactured and tested by hand. It is not a cheap mass product and of course it does not correspond 100% to the original diffuser.
We did not find any restrictions when scanning medium format negatives.
