Unfortunately, Fujifilm had never produced a suitable mask, and the available alternatives were either unusable or insufficiently adjustable. This led us to a pivotal decision: we would create it ourselves.
The Challenges We Faced
What seemed straightforward on paper quickly proved to be a challenging endeavor. There were no existing measurements, plans, or instructions to guide us. Every step taken was uncharted territory, and the waste generated on our path to the first functional version was staggering. Prototypes frequently failed, materials were rejected, and details required constant refinement.
Additionally, sourcing the right components became a true test of patience. Many materials that seemed suitable on paper turned out to be unfit for our purpose. Those that did work were often expensive and hard to acquire. Yet, our driving force remained unwavering—passion. Without it, we would not have made it this far.
